Aims & Scope
AAAS publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, technical notes, experimental and field investigations, short communications, and case studies that make significant contributions to agricultural science and practice, including but not limited to:
Agronomy and Crop Science, Soil Science and Soil Fertility Management, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Horticulture and Plant Protection, Animal Science and Livestock Production, Agricultural Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Sustainable Agriculture and Climate-Smart Agriculture, and Food Science, Post-Harvest Technology and Agricultural Engineering.
Our aim is to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and promote innovative solutions that improve agricultural productivity, environmental sustainability, and food system resilience.
Publication Model: Hybrid Open Access [Primarily Open Access]
Authors publishing in AAAS may choose one of two publication routes at the time of submission, however the journal now primarily accepts and publishes open access articles to ensure wider global access, visibility, and research impact.
1. Open Access: The article is made immediately and permanently available online to all readers upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution License [CC BY 4.0]. The publication charge for this journal is 500 USD. Authors who are not able to pay this amount may apply for a partial discount. Please note that we do not offer free publications.
2. Subscription Access: The article is published at no cost to the author and is made available to subscribers and licensed institutions via our website. Authors are allowed to share their work in accordance with our self-archiving policy. This option is available on a limited basis.
APC Discount Policy
We are dedicated to promoting inclusive and equitable open access publishing. Authors with limited research funding may request a partial discount on the Article Processing Charge based on World Bank country income classification, institutional funding availability, or demonstrated financial need. Please note: We do not offer full waivers. A minimum administrative fee applies to all open access articles to cover editorial and production costs.
Editorial Standards
All manuscripts submitted to AAAS undergo a stringent double-blind peer review process by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. All submissions are screened for originality using iThenticate / Crossref Similarity Check. The journal adheres strictly to the COPE Core Practices to maintain publication ethics, editorial independence, and scholarly integrity throughout the publication process.
