The relationships of cruise image, perceived value, satisfaction, and post-purchase behavioral intention on Taiwanese tourists

Abstract

The travel industry has recognized the advantages offered by global cruise tourism, now a famous tourism product in Taiwan. This research looks at the cruise image as a recreational experience and compares the results of 906 questionnaires to investigate perceived value, satisfaction and post-purchase behavioral intention. Analyzing these factors, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used for theory development. This research presents a concept and measurement using information from cruise tourists and proposes methodological and statistical procedures for measuring the relationships in order to help researchers for an overall picture. The results show that cruise image has a positive effect on tourists’ perceived value and satisfaction, and also has an indirect effective on post-purchase behavioral intention. Tourists’ perceived value influences their satisfaction positively. Plus, tourists’ perceived value and satisfaction play a significant role in post-purchase behavioral intention. Empirical findings contribute some important extensions to image relationships in cruise ship.

Abstract

Investigating dynamic relationship among stock markets has received considerable attention by both academics and practitioners. Hence, this study presents new integrated model, Grey-VAR Model, to modify Granger causality test procedure that can investigate dynamic relationships of high-tech industries. These results provide evidences that there exist the short-term equilibrium relationship of high-tech industries and the investors can alter portfolio allocation.

Forecasting stock price of Iranian major petrochemical companies

Abstract

The issue of forecasting the stock prices of the companies attending the stock exchange market is a very important problem for investors. The ability of forecasting stock prices would enable them to choose the best investment basket leading to high benefits. In this paper, we intend to forecast the price of stocks of the major Iranian petrochemical companies. For this purpose, the regression models are used. There are some important independent variables which play a key role in determining the prices of these companies. The models are run in the software E-views. This paper discusses choosing best decision between one or more of petroleum companies for beneficiary business markets and how it would be applicable and effective on making decision on stock investment.

Designing a group decision support system under uncertainty using group Fuzzy analytic network process (ANP)

Abstract

Handling uncertainty in decision making is recently receiving considerable attention by researchers. Advances in group Fuzzy analytic network process (ANP) are discussed to support decision making because of the complexity and vagueness under uncertainty. An adaptive group Fuzzy ANP group decision support system (DSS) under uncertainty is put forth that makes up for some deficiencies in the conventional ANP. Fuzzy judgments are firstly used when it is difficult to characterize the uncertainty by point-valued judgments due to partially known information, and a bipartite graph is formulated to model the problem of group decision making under uncertainty. Then, a Fuzzy prioritization method is proposed to derive the local priorities from missing or inconsistent Fuzzy pairwise comparison judgments. As a result of the unlikeliness for all the decision makers to evaluate all elements under uncertainty, an original aggregation method is developed to cope with the situation where some of the local priorities are missing. Finally, an evaluation of petroleum contaminated site remedial countermeasures using the proposed group Fuzzy ANP, indicates that the presented group DSS can effectively handle uncertainty and support group decision making with high level of user satisfaction.

Using continuous auditing life cycle management to ensure continuous assurance

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to develop a model of key steps for the successful implementation of continuous assurance software, and to reduce the impact of internal auditor technology on ensuring enterprise business assurance by monitoring business systems and their procedures, activities, transactions, and events in a real-time manner. The continuous auditing methodology effectively enhanced audit quality and reduced internal compliance cost for Mutli-Fab with across Taiwan and Chinese-based companies and ensure the continuous assurance in this case field study. Continuous auditing lifecycle management will consider continuous data retrieval, continuous data analysis, continuous data control, and continuous data monitor. This field study also provides useful findings and suggestions related to the insights and experiences learned.

Determining medical service improvement priority by integrating the refined Kano model, Quality function deployment and Fuzzy integrals

Abstract

In recent years, owing to the rise in consumers’ consciousness with regard to health care quality, hospitals are constructively probing into the factors affecting patients’ satisfaction. This is to enable them identify technical items of medical services and to see it as a priority to utilize these items. Using quality function deployment (QFD) with the Refined Kano model, this study aims to prioritize above all the use of various medical service technical items as an improvement directed towards hospitals’ competitiveness. With the outpatient services of a hospital as the empirical case study, this study first collected the service requirements of the patients and classified them using the Refined Kano model to decide the weights of each patient’s service requirements, then found out the different medical service technical items which the hospital provided to satisfy the service requirements, and utilized the Fuzzy Integral approach to calculate the improvement index of each medical service technical item in order to determine the priority of improvement. With the Refined Kano model analysis it is found that there are three high value-added qualities, seven critical qualities, five necessary qualities, another five highly attractive qualities, four less attractive qualities, and two care-free qualities. Further analysis of the QFD proposed the primary medical service technical items as staff training, facility safety, hospital location, cordial service, equipment maintenance, and advanced medical equipment. This study presents a simple and feasible approach for hospitals to confirm the service demands of patients, to determine the improvement sequence corresponding with patients’ demands under limited resources, focus on the most attractive demands and the priority items for improvement, in order to enhance competitiveness in an efficient and effective way.
